Rover RV8 – Under 20, 000 Miles
The MGRV8, went into production during 1992. The 3. 9litre Rover V8 engine delivers 185bhp to the rear wheels through a five speed gearbox giving impressive performance - 0 to 60mph in under six seconds and a top speed of around 135mph. Production was limited to approximately fifteen cars a week (the price tag was over £26k) and under 2, 000 were manufactured making the RV8 an extremely rare sight on British roads.
Finished in Woodcote Green our car was re-imported from Japan in 2000 and has covered under 20, 000miles from new. As you would expect, the car drives superbly and looks absolutely stunning with an exception body and interior.
Areas that always cause concern – the three ‘W’s (Windscreen, Wheels & Wood) - are all excellent with no cracks in the dash/ door veneers or wear on the seats and all wheels looking factory fresh. The boot contains the often missing, tool kit and torch.
The history folder includes the original Japanese service book, MOTs since 2001, invoices for a variety of work including a new hood in July 2012, factory key fob and even the business card of Rover Group Salesman in Tokyo when the car was purchased new.
Historically the RV8 has been undervalued by the market but prices have risen sharply over the past two years. Our stunning RV8 will provide lots of pleasure for the lucky new owner and we recommend early viewing in order to avoid disappointment.
