Morris Minor Traveller – Fully Restored Example
The Morris 1000 debuted at the 1948 Earls Court motor show. It quickly became an iconic vehicle that was exported all over the world with over 1. 3 million being manufactured before production ceased in 1972.
We are delighted to offer for sale this 1970 Traveller that presents beautifully following a full body/ mechanical restoration by the last owner, a retired garage owner/ engineer over a five year period. The car, when purchased, had not been on the road since 1999 and was fully dismantled. New metal/ panels/ chrome were replaced where required, new Ash wood structure fitted and the engine/ gearbox including all ancillaries (clutch, water pump, brakes etc.) overhauled/ replaced where required. The interior was also refreshed including seats, carpets and roof lining
The car is a remarkable testament to the skill and commitment of the owner who wanted to build a car that presented well and could be driven absolutely anywhere with complete confidence. The car drives as good as it looks with the 1000 “purp” soundtrack and draws positive comments wherever you park
The Morris Traveller is the most practical classic you could wish to own equally at home at summer shows, country pubs or running the recycling down to the local refuse centre. We like this car and expect her to find a new home quickly…
