MGA 1600 Roadster Mk1 – Original RHD UK Car
Our 1600 MGA is a UK supplied, right hand drive MGA. The car was registered in London under the Home Office Export Scheme during October 1960 and has only had five registered keepers since. The Heritage Certificate confirms that the car was delivered with additional options that included disc front brakes, deluxe side screens, a heater, radio and wire wheels.
The MGA went through a full ground up restoration during the 1980’s at Simon Robinson’s in Darlington and has covered just 22. 000 miles since. Purchased by the previous owner, a time served engineer, from Sherwood Restoration’s in 2013, he improved the car, fitting an un-leaded cylinder head, up-graded cooling system (larger capacity radiator), electronic ignition, stainless steel exhaust and the car drives superbly, a real credit to his knowledge and skill.
More recently, Milestones supplied the car during 2016 to an employee at Rolls Royce, Chichester who had spent months looking for an original car to his standard. He has enjoyed the car immensely but has, with much regret, had to sell as he has been posted overseas.
The Iris Blue body with original blue piped seats and deep blue hood is (in my opinion) by far the best combination for the MGA. This is a stunning car that drives every bit as good as it looks and is ready for the lucky new owner to use and enjoy.
