Just mot'd until October 2018.

This machine was rebuilt from the frame up by a long term previous owner who kept it in a dry storage. Having rebuilt it he sold it on but this owner never bothered finish it off. I have fettled it and completed a few niggles. It is running really well it seems although being freshly rebuilt will of course need continued fiddling as it shakes down.
It was stripped to bare frame.
Frame and swing arm were blasted and powder coated.
Engine was rebuilt with genuine Suzuki gaskets
Frame bearings and wheel bearings were replaced.
The wheels were rebuilt with new spokes, they look like stainless steel to me, new tyres.
The forks were re-chromed and rebuilt with new seals.
The carburetor was overhauled with all new gaskets and seals.
The fuel tank is mint inside and it was re-sprayed with the rest of the bike. It is also virtually mint.
New Seat cover.
It had a new wiring loom and has a 12 volt conversion to electrics for greater usability.
All stainless fasteners throughout.
The engine cases were blasted, sprayed and machined.
New cables were fitted and brakes were rebuilt.
The exhaust has new parts and the central silencer can part was remade fully!
It is very near standard with only the better renthal Handle Bars, after market end exhaust can and stainless allen head fixings straying off standard. If a concours trailer queen in standard form all round were wanted it would not be a big challenge.
It rides very well and starts off the kick starter without fuss. It idles well and runs well, the clutch and gearbox precise and brakes as it should.
In summary you will be hard pressed to find a better one and it represents great value compared to other classic trail bikes like the XT Honda's.
