1980 Ford Escort 1600 Sport. RHD import from South Africa which has been fully UK registered and comes with 11 months MOT. Ready to drive away. Good clean original car
Body - Ford Escort Mk2 export spec shell which has similar strengthening to our RS models. Good strong shell with original inner wings, strut tops, sills etc. Good panel gaps, paint is decent with only a few minor marks. Has had previous repairs in spare wheel and tank wells but they are solid. We carried out reapirs to the front floors for the mot using proper repair sections. Body / paint wont need anything doing for the forseeable future
Interior - Original sport interior which is fairly good . No rips or tears but a bit of wear on the cloth but certainly perfectly useable. Good carpet and door cards and headlining. Dash top has a few cracks from the sun.
Mechanics - Good 1600 crossflow which starts and runs well. New points and condenser fitted and carb rejetted for the different climate over here. Everything works and it can be driven away.
Fitted with the deep dish sport steels with 175 70 13 tyres.
