Bedford long wheelbase panel van.
Imported from Gozo 6 years ago. Bought off Ebay and worked on since then.
Originally had no registration number as imported, model and age identified by Bedford Heritage. DVLA registered the vehicle and allocated an age-related number. Nice number.
Originally in terrible condition. Barely rolling. The engine was renovated (a Perkins diesel) that then blew up and I replaced with a brand new old-stock Perkins 108. Runs beautifully now. Old engine still in back of the van.
Was blue now Old English Cream. Full photographs of the professional paint/ body job. Has been kept dry since then. The body is free from rot. I guess that was the mediterranean weather.
Floor button start. Three gear plus reverse, column change.
New MOT. Very clean outside. Interior rather original (Maltese icons etc) and in need of an interior paint and rubber mats although I like the originality.
The seats were rebuilt (re-sprung) and re-covered by retired professional.
This is a lovely vehicle. It is authentic, I have recently had the fuel pump and brakes renovated. I have a spare Lockheed slave cylinder for the rear wheel which I would obviously include in sale. I have the chrome 'Bedford' logo for the dash inside, the buyer would just need some plastic grommets to fit that. I was going to convert to sell coffee and that would be a good use of her.
I have had the van advertised for while and have been messed about a little. I have lowered the price as I need to sell. However, please don't either waste time or make a derisory offer. She can sit where she is rather than that.
