1978 Bedford Plaxton Supreme III coach. 10m 45 seater coach.
Former Moordale Coaches UFT912T and later route bus in Malta as EBY630.
Who knows this vehicle knows that it was always kept in immaculate condition throughout its service life.
Preserved for the past 14 years by myself and always stored inside.
Vehicle is in driving condition and will sail through an MOT with very minor atttention.
Unlike other of the coaches of its type and era this has only been slightly modified retaining all its original body lines and bright work. The chassis and body panels are in pristine condition with very minimal rust bubbles to one of the rear wheel arches.
Mechanically it is fitted with an 8 litre Bedford 500 turbo Blue engine coupled to the original 5 speed gearbox.
The axles have been changed to 10 stud axles and converted to air brakes. I believe that the rear diff is off a coach of the same type but the longer version and the front axle is of a Leyland lorry.
The interior is also completely original and has all working lighting and luggage racks in place. In my ownership i have also acquired and fitted a set of period coach seats although re trimmed in later mocquette which are still in very good condition with no tears to none of the seats. The only seat that does not match is the rear bench coushion, however enough new material will be supplied with the vehicle to recover it.
To who ever buys this coach I have a set of original non opening windows that I will include in the sale. I never replaced them as for our climate this window type makes more sense to keep as is. I also will include other spares that i have with the vehicle.
