Description
This sports racing prototype is one of a handful constructed by Group Racing Developments for the 1973 season to contest in Group 5 and 2 litre racing. Delivered new to Portugal in ’73 the car is currently wearing the ‘74 Team Seiko livery that it raced with in the European 2 litre Sportscar championship round at Jarama. There the car qualified 20th driven by Luis Madeira Rodrigues (who often raced under the pseudonym ‘Lumaro’) and Jorge Ribeiro de Sousa. Unfortunately it suffered a mechanical failure and was not classified in the race.
Offered with a Hewland 5 speed FT200 gearbox minus engine. Suitable engines for this chassis and year configuration are Cosworth BDA or BMW M10. The car is also fitted with alternator for long distance racing, comes with a spare set of bodywork, spare gear ratios and 6 spare wheels.
Eligible for the Peter Auto Classic Endurance Racing (CER) championship.
