About the Golf GTI
The Golf Mk2 GTI with eight valve 1. 8 injected engine, was first introduced in 1985. This was then updated in 1991 with the facelift which is better known as the 'big-bumper' model. As one of the most loved 'hot hatches' the Golf Mk2 still has a large following and is becoming an investable classic which can be driven and enjoyed daily.
Exterior Features
This five-door GTI is finished in Alpine White and features the original double headlight grille with red GTI surround and large front bumper with indicator lights inside. The condition of the paint all around the vehicle is great and there are very minimal age-related marks. There is no visable rust on the body of the car and upon inspection underneath, this is a great, solid example. The 15" BBS RA's all have tyres with a good amount of tread depth. The sunroof works as it should and has no leaks.
Interior Features
The interior of the Golf features the 'rainbow' seats and door cards which has no rips or tears. The 5-speed gearbox has a smooth transmission and the overall drive of the GTI is brilliant. Interior features include two front electric windows, central locking, power-assisted steering and MFA onboard computer.
More Information
The drive and condition of this Golf is brilliant after being used and cared for for the past 25 years. The current MOT certificate is valid until September 2018 and has no advisory items. Many service items have recently been replaced, including all filters, timing belt, spark plugs and new clutch.
