The Golf Mk2 was a modernised, slightly larger version of the Mk1 model. Based on the design of the predecessor, it was longer and the features were more rounded. The 1. 3 engine naturally-aspirated engine had a carburettor and reached an impressive top speed of 94mph.
Exterior Features
This is a beautiful example of the CL specification 1. 3 model. As this vehicle was made in the early years of Mk2 production, it features small bumpers and the door mirrors as set further back into the front window frames of the car. The bumpers have a chrome trim and the steel wheels have chrome Volkswagen centre caps. The condition and paint work of the vehicle is brilliant and there is no rust.
Interior Features
The vehicle has a blue cloth interior which is not ripped or torn and is still comfortable and all original. The door cards are slightly sun faded but all in tact and the dashboard has no cracks or signs of wear. The period Blaupunkt FM/ AM stereo is still fully working as

There have been four previous owners of the vehicle since 1984 and the spare key is present. We have carried out a full service including all filters and spark plugs. We have also fitted a new timing belt and rocker cover gasket so the Golf is fit and ready to take out on the road.
