Low mileage, low owner SAAB 900i in rare 2 door saloon body style, registered in May 1989 and finished in Embassy Blue with matching blue velour seats and blue carpets.
Purchased new by a mature gentleman from Bay Horse SAAB in Lancashire in exchange for his incumbent 900EMS, the car was obviously used sparingly and lovingly, as borne out by the exceptionally low mileage of 88k miles and the supplying dealer history. Unfortunately, there came a point when the original owner could no longer drive and he passed the car to his grandson in 2016. This was a relatively short ownership, as was the next ownership. The last owner bought it as an everyday classic to use until an impulse buy of a campervan meant there was not enough drive space for both. The total number of keepers is therefore 3, but importantly only one from 1989 to 2016, averaging around 3k miles a year.
The car is in excellent order throughout, with no evidence of paint or panel work. The bronze tinted windows are all etched with the correct number plate and the rear window retains the supplying dealer sticker. We also have the original dealer plates, but they are aged somewhat and the car wears replacements for daily duties. Naturally, the car is HPI clear.
The interior is as close to immaculate as you could hope for with no visible wear or damage to the seats. Unusually for the marque, the headlining is in fine order. There is not much to go wrong, but all equipment works as expected including the automatic heated seats.
On the move, the car performs solidly and can easily be used as a daily driver. There are no untoward noises from the engine, suspension or transmission.
For documentation, we have the original handbooks, stamped service books, original bill of sale, all old MOTs and a number of other supporting receipts for work carried out.
Whilst it would be incorrect to describe the car as immaculate, due to some minor blemishes, it would be extremely hard to find a more genuine, original example. The car has already completed its' PDI by our mechanic and is supplied with a 3 month warranty included in the price so is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
