The Mulliner Park Ward convertible took the Corniche name in 1971, but the early cars are the most elegant with slim, chrome bumpers. This one in LeMans metallic was supplied by Jack Barclay to a Rutland Gate resident. This MPW was then offered for sale by HR Owen in 1971.
By 1977 1 KOG was under it’s long term family ownership which lasted up until 2012.
The current owner made the purchase in 2014 and has cared for her ever since with regular maintenance carried out by specialists.
The car is offered in beautiful condition throughout, the paintwork being in the desirable Le Mans blue with bright chromework covering the length of the car and adding to the exterior shine.
The interior is finished in beautiful black hide and along with the wood vaneer there in no need for attention, with the hood down the interior truly is striking.
A more modern stereo has been fitted in recent years but the original 8-Track player is carefully placed in the boot, along with a stack of cartridges.
On start up the 6. 23Litre V8 fires instantly and idles silently, on the road the drive is like a magic carpet ride which is to be expected from a car of this calliber, the gearbox is smooth and the brakes are effective.
The registration 1 KOG is sold with the car and was added by a previous (watchmaker) owner.
