EXTERIOR
This rare Sportline has a stunning appearance with its unique Flash Red paintwork and contrasting black trim. The aggressive body styling is perfectly offset by the freshly refurbished alloys, which look amazing beneath those flared arches. A new set of Sportline decals have just been applied following an extensive detail, and while the body is not without imperfections, this charming example remains presentable throughout. Furthermore, the mohair hood has very recently been replaced and operates smoothly at the touch of a button.
INTERIOR
The inside of the car looks great with the black and red Jacquard Sport upholstery presenting well across the Recaro sports seats and contoured rear bench. There are few signs of wear to speak of, with the fabric itself free from any notable sagging or discolouration. The dash and fascia also remain in good order, as do the carpets.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The lively 1. 8 engine fires up quickly and without fuss. The engine bay is in good order and appears clean throughout, with no signs of damage or poor repair. The MOT is valid until October 2018 and the car will be freshly serviced upon sale for the new keeper’s peace of mind.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Filling the little GTi’s flared arches are the correct 15-inch BBS RA wheels. They have just been refurbished to the highest standard by Lepsons and are finished in their factory paint scheme of black and silver. The wheels are shod in matching Firestone tyres all around.
HISTORY FILE
The Sportline was first registered in August 1991. Since that time it has seen just four keepers, with the last having owned the car since 2010. The paperwork is complete with an original Sportline sales brochure in excellent condition. The car will be freshly serviced upon sale.
