Morris 1000 (Split Screen) – Utterly Original
Our Series II Morris is an incredibly original 1954 car in rare Birch Grey with iconic split windscreen, cheese-grater radiator grill, semaphore arm indicators, leather interior and 803cc overhead valve engine. The car has been has been owned for over 25 years by the last keeper and is, very reluctantly, being sold through lack of use.
The previous owner completed a rolling restoration of the Minor between 1985 and 1993 to an extremely high standard and the car has only covered 5, 000 miles since. The Morris drives absolutely perfectly with strong mechanicals, lovely paint with no corrosion, super straight body/ chassis, good chrome and an original interior with lovely red leather seats uncut dash board, replacement carpets, original door cards and unmarked roof lining.
The Minor comes with a history file containing old MOTs back to the 1980’s, lots of invoices, tax discs, show passes, original hand book and retains the original 1954 Maidstone registration number.
Our Minor is a remarkably original car that has been conserved and loved by the last two owner. It is exactly the type of classic that Milestones like to offer for sale and is ideal for showing at Goodwood or simply a trip out to the local pub with friends and family
