Triumph Vitesse 6 – Very Original with Overdrive
The Triumph Herald was launched in 1959 and, like the Spitfire, was designed by Giovanni Michelotti. The upmarket Vitesse was introduced in May 1962 and was an immediate success delivering a four seat saloon with sports car performance.
Milestones are delighted to offer for sale an absolutely stunning 1962 Vitesse in Litchfield Green with Sebring White stripe and original red interior - arguably one of the prettiest combinations offered by the Triumph factory
The large history folder demonstrates that this lovely car has been fastidiously maintained over the past 20 years by previously owners. Work has included unleaded cylinder head, overdrive gearbox, rebuilt engine (rings, big end shells), new differential/ prop-shaft, inertia seat belts, various brake & suspension components, genuine Minilite wheels and a respray twenty years ago
The final result is a car that drives every bit as good as it looks. She starts first time with a lovely straight six bark, has characteristic brisk performance and on the road is a genuine pleasure to drive.
