Exterior Features
The Alpine White VW paintwork is in fantastic condition. First registered in 1991, the Golf features the larger bumpers, front fog lights and indicator lights set into the front of the bumper. The front grille has twin headlights and the iconic red GTI stripe and badge. The GTI model also has a sunroof with manual mechanism.
Wheels & Tyres
The GTI has period BBS 15" RZ alloy wheels which have a multi-crossover spoke. Each of the wheels and tyres are in brilliant condition.
Interior Components
The interior of the Golf is all original and has been kept very well over the past 27 years. The 'ultraviolet' seats are grey and purple striped cloth with no rips and the headlining is not sagging or torn. The dashboard has a working MFA onboard computer and this model has power-assisted steering.
Mechanics
Mechanically, the Golf has had a long list of service and mechanical items replaced and has been recently fully serviced. The last MOT was carried out in January this year and has no advisory items on the certificate.
Over the past two years, this GTI has had a long list of service and mechanical items replaced. The vehicle has had new suspension, bump stops, strut top mounts, brake discs and pads front and rear, rotor arm, distributor cap, timing belt and tensioner, drive belts, water pump, valve stem seals, rubber sump gasket and vacuum pipes. It is fighting fit and ready to be driven every day!
Service & Maintenance History
There is a large file of history with the GTI, including receipts from every year dating back over more than 20 years, service book and previous MOT certificates. There are two keys with immobiliser fobs. The car is fully HPI clear.

The Golf Mk2 has always been renouned for how great it is to drive and this example is no exception. It is clear from the way it glides along the road that it has been maintained to a superb standard and cared for brilliantly. Very responsive, comfortable and a fantastic practical classic!
