The Appeal
Finding a very good B7 RS4 is surprisingly difficult. They made a lot, but most have been driven a lot, and hard too. But you’ll want to persevere because these cars are amongst the best four-door performance saloons ever built.
Key to that is the 414bhp 4.2L V8 FSI engine shared with Audi’s 996-bating R8. Clarkson rates it as a gem and mating it to the firm’s classic Quattro AWD system delivers a brutally quick, surefooted car with all the understated class and quality of a Noughties Audi. Unlike the RS6, the 4 got a manual box, so it's much more of a driver’s car.
If that has whetted your appetite, then your search is over, because this RS4 really is extremely good. It’s a low-mileage, low-owner car finished in handsome Daytona Grey Pearl, and it has been properly looked after. Since the vendor bought it in 2022 he has spent over £9,000 improving the suspension and replacing key components like the clutch and flywheel. Naturally, it has also been serviced.
The condition is impressive. This is a car that has been cherished rather than thrashed. It also features neat options like heated front and rear seats and an audio upgrade with TV and navigation.
The MOT runs to August 2026 with no advisories. But then, considering the investment and condition in the photos, that shouldn’t be a surprise. A treat for press-on motorists.
The vendor says:
“It's a joy to drive and has been cherished. Naturally aspirated V8 engine that purrs and pulls. Old school. An engineering masterclass. It just makes you smile. Not many RS4 B7 cars in the UK with this low mileage and with this amount of maintenance and love.”
