The Appeal
In the two seater sports car explosion that followed the success of the Mazda MX5, it was perhaps typical that Honda chose not to follow the crowd. Where others focussed on simplicity, Honda prioritised engineering.
The resulting S2000 was a technological tour de force. At its launch its high revving, 2litre engine was the most powerful production motor by capacity in the world. Add in typically brilliant weight distribution and handling, all encapsulated by a sleek shape, and you have what is now regarded as one of the greatest sports cars of the last 30 years.
For those seeking the best of these great cars, this 2009 example is definitely worth investigating. One of the last built and finished in a popular colour combination, it also comes with full service history – mostly by main dealers – and long MOT.
