2008 Volkswagen Golf GTI
This 2008 Golf GTI is best described as being in near new condition, having covered just 31, 620km (19, 648 miles) from new.
This five-door GTI is finished in Tornado Red with the evocative tartan cloth interior and equipped with the popular DSG gearbox.
Equipped with the usual accessories including climate control, electric windows, leather steering wheel and 17in alloy wheels.
Supplied new in Japan, this GTI has had a cossetted life having never been exposed to road salt, sparingly used and correctly maintained with a full main dealer history from new.
The recorded service history is as follows –
2009 – 2817km – VW
2010 – 6792km – VW
2011 – 10, 570km – VW
2013 – 17, 777km – VW
2015 – 21, 092km – VW
2016 – 21, 310km – VW
2017 – 23, 449km – VW
2019 – 31, 620km – Edward Hall Classic Mercedes (ourselves)
Two remote keys and all original books/ manuals.
Imported to the UK in 2019, the Golf was fitted with a Dynavin multi-media navigation system incorporating touch-screen, Bluetooth, reversing camera, music streaming and much more. This replaces the Japanese navigation and brings the car right up to date while remaining factory standard of appearance and functionality.
As the images show this Golf is absolutely unmarked original condition throughout – original paintwork, perfect wheels shod with recent matching Continental ContiSportContact 5 tyres. The underside is immaculate and the interior without flaw and complete with original over-mats.
On the road this GTI drives beautifully with performance aplenty and the tight, crisp feel of a correctly maintained, low mileage car.
The Mk5 Golf GTI was, for good reason, regarded as a return to form by VW. Once again offering a fast, fun, good looking and eminently practical hot hatch. Whilst there is no shortage of average GTIs on the marketplace, there can be very few that equal the condition and mileage of this example.
