1981 MGB GT LE Limited Edition Coupe. Manual / Overdrive. Pewter metallic with grey upholstery. Introduced in 1980 and one of only 580 LE GT’s built, in fact the last MG’s to be built at the Abingdon factory before its closure in October 1980. This lovely LE is still totally original and the same specification as it left the production line in 1980. The previous keeper has owned this super coupe for 14 years and during this time has maintained the car as required although using it sparingly and covering just 2, 000 miles in his tenure. The MOT history shows that the car has passed lots of mot’s with ease and no mention of the dreaded corrosion. This is a car that is extremely solid with a very strong chassis and lovely bodywork, the paintwork still very sharp with the car being garaged and lovingly cared for. The original upholstery showing minimal wear and have easily stood the test of time. Starting on the button with correct oil pressure and driving just as you would expect a car of this pedigree to it is lively and enjoyable and easily keeps up with modern traffic, the overdrive gearbox working correctly in third and fourth.
