The Fiat 600 was produced from 1955 until 1969. The original cars, launched to compete with the VW Beetle were fitted with a 633cc engine producing 22bhp, allowing a top speed of 68mph.
This car ia a 1968 Fiat 600 “Abarth” replica. We are offering it here on behalf of our customer. He bought it in 2008 intending to compete in the”Liege to Bressica” micro- car rally but the trip did not go ahead and it has been used sparingly over the last 13 years. Last November it was treated to a comprehensive £1700. 00 re-commissioning by a Fat specialist and it is running and driving very well.
It’s an older restoration which remains in beautiful order – the body, underside and paint finish are all very good and the interior has been re-trimmed with period style rally seats in the front. The engine is a later Fiat 1000cc – we have few details about the exact spec but according to a previous owner, it produces 90bhp. There are various other upgrades including “Alfin” style fluted rear drum brakes and disc brake conversion at the front. As you would expect, this car is fairly impressive to drive and very quick! It is also quite rare in RHD form.
Comes with photos of the car before restoration, copies of old log books and various original manuals.
