The Appeal
The Morris Minor Traveller is a quintessential British classic, known for its distinctive wood-framed rear bodywork and charming aesthetics. This estate variant of the world-famous Morris Minor is practically synonymous with mid-century country roads, and continues to attract admiring glances today, regardless of where these ubiquitous cars have travelled.
This 1958 model is a testament to the enduring appeal of these vehicles. This particular Traveller was part of the James Hull collection, which was acquired by Jaguar Land Rover Heritage Vehicles' collection, though every owner has clearly cosseted this car with pride. It's been lovingly maintained, stored in a heated garage, and is used almost daily in summer.
History and Paperwork
Built in 1958
Has had 10 previous owners, two of which was collector James Hull and Jaguar Land Rover Heritage Vehicles
This is further backed up by a sticker within the driver's door which states JLR Property
Transported to owner's home near Dundee after purchase
Fully serviced on 8/3/23 (receipt will be provided)

Being sold to make space for another classic, following a 'one in, one out' policy
Amongst the invoices present, you’ll find one from 2021 which shows some new brake calipers and handbrake cables
In the same year, it also had a new thermostat fitted, a radiator cap, and a couple of radiator hoses
In January 2023, there is an invoice for a new clutch, clutch fork, and flywheel
There is also an invoice from 2007 which shows some welding being carried out
Bodywork is largely in good order with only signs of wear commensurate with age
No sign of any dents or dings
Chrome still presents well, though pitting in places
Floor pans and chassis have undergone previous welding and undersealing
Chassis is sound and rust-free
Ash frame is overall sound but has three areas of decay (refer to photographs)
Frame would benefit from sanding and re-sealing
Three small areas of paintwork beginning to rust (refer to photographs)
Internally, the typically austere Morris interior is beautifully presented
Red vinyl seats in good order with no rips or tears
Some light marks to the rear seats
A few creature comforts are present such as the Smiths heater
There is also a modern radio fitted under the dashboard
Carpets and headlining in good order

Nicely presented engine bay with no issues we can discern
Everything is reportedly working as expected with no issues
