Arguably the most iconic Sports Saloon ever built on the British Isles, the Mark 2 inspires a very real sense of patriotism the moment you glance at it. It's undeniable that the curvy, distinguished car was just the ticket, with everything from its interior trim to its glasswork giving a light, airy sense of luxury.
The MK2 continues to defy its venerable years - these classics are still in high demand, having become well known for their well-balanced characteristics and distinctive old-money aesthetic. They're still surprisingly capable too - even if the smaller engines aren't quite as fast on their feet.
