The Attractions
Built by Carrozzeria Ghia between the 1950s and 1960s, the 500 Jolly, affectionately nicknamed the 'Spiaggina', was inspired by Gianni Agnelli, who wanted a small, agile and fun car to drive around the most fashionable seaside resorts. This idea appealed to many, and the Jolly immediately became a status symbol coveted by captains of industry, politicians and stars of the time.
This stunning replica was made in Italy by highly experienced craftsmen from a solid 1967 500 F. The bodywork has been completely disassembled, water-blasted, painstakingly modified to replicate the lines of the original cars and totally repainted in a vivid shade of blue. The chassis was suitably reinforced to balance the removal of the roof.
Inside, wicker seats, chrome-plated side bumpers and nautical-inspired trim create an evocative dolce vita atmosphere.
The mechanics have also been restored: new or reconditioned parts have been used and the original engine has given way to a more powerful Fiat 126 engine, fitted with a dynamo and tuned by a retired Fiat technician.
This splendid little Jolly replica represents a fantastic opportunity to secure a car of great charm and easy handling, which will always be the centre of attention wherever it goes and will certainly bring great joy and enjoyment to its next owner.image.png3.89 MB
