The Appeal
If your idea of a great Sunday is wafting through the countryside, perhaps en route to a favourite watering hole, the sun dappling off the chromework and you and your passengers firmly nestled in Connolly’s finest hides, then there is no question that you want a Silver Shadow.
No car quite does relaxed, regal and rewarding quite like Rolls-Royce’s original ‘owner driver’ car. The later ‘II’ cars, from the mid'-70s, sharpened the steering and improved the ride and, as a result, are perfect for the aforementioned sojourn.
This ‘81 would be an ideal candidate. Finished in a fetching combination of dark blues, it is a very low mileage car with just 52,000 miles on the clock and in fine, usable condition. Its five keepers have clearly looked after it and the age is largely limited to some light patination.
The car is said to have always been garaged and regularly serviced. It runs and drives well and has the added bonus of a voluntary MOT to December 2025 to help buyers assess condition.
