The Appeal
The Honda Motocompo was the smallest scooter ever produced by the company and designed specifically to fit inside the boot of Honda's subcompact cars. Inspired by the British Welbike, these were only available as a factory add-on for the Honda City and Today in Japan between 1981 and 1983. Needless to say they're now vanishingly rare.
This particular example has been recently imported from Japan with an auction grade 4, indicating its very good condition. Following importation to Poland, it has undergone a comprehensive service to ensure it's ready for everyday use, making it an excellent opportunity to own a rare piece of Honda's engineering ingenuity.

History and Paperwork
- Built and registered in Japan in 1983
- Imported from Japan to Poland in 2023
- Now part of a private collection in Poland

- Technical Inspection valid until December 2026

The Condition
- Appears in smart condition for its age according to the Japanese auction grade 4
- Compact folding design with handlebars, seat, and foot-pegs that fold into the rectangular plastic body
- When folded, creates a clean box-shaped package measuring 1,185 mm × 240 mm × 540 mm
- New flexible washers installed for the external plastics, replacing deteriorated original ones
- All bulbs replaced during recent service

- Single-speed automatic clutch
- Recently underwent comprehensive service including:
- New battery installed
- Turn signal flasher replaced
- Fresh engine and gear oil change
