The Appeal

The Kallista is the ‘other’ bespoke, British-built, retro-styled roadster. And for its enthusiastic followers, it is arguably the better car. There’s logic to that as well - the Kallista was more modern than a Morgan, but built with the same hand-crafted attention to detail using an aluminium body and bespoke chassis.

1,740 were built over eight years with the grunty Ford ‘Cologne’ V6 of this car. But exceptionally few - between 17 and 25 depending on who you trust - were special edition Brooklands models like this one, built to commemorate 80 years of the Brooklands race circuit, near where these cars were assembled.

Finished in stand-out red with matching interior, it is a very low mileage car that retains its original bespoke Brooklands features including badging, door trims, leather seats and mesh grille. The condition is impressive and a timely reminder of how stylish and well equipped these cars are - inside there are acres of lovely walnut veneer alongside the leather.

This car has had just three keepers during its 38 years and has clearly been looked after. The history file includes the original bill of sale and handbook. With current MOT showing no advisories, this ultra rare classic looks perfect for sunny spring and summer touring.
