The Appeal
We owe the arrival of the factory five-door Range Rover to Swiss motoring boutique builder Monteverdi. It started a body style that turned it into a luxury SUV and has become the model’s standard.
For all those reasons, plus their sheer usability, good five-door ‘Classics’ are popular with enthusiasts. They straddle the line between daily driver, usable classic and show star. This 1990 3.9L Vogue SE sits firmly in the latter category because it comes to market fresh from an extensive specialist restoration.
That work, by Paul’s Land Rovers and the seller, covered virtually every area. The chassis and bodywork were refurbished, with welding where necessary, and refinished in original Westminster Grey metallic. The mechanics were run through, including a brake overhaul, fuel system refresh and a full service. Since this is a low-mileage, low-keeper vehicle, the interior was well kept, so only required light tidying up, such as new headlining.
Here is a chance for the buyer to benefit from all that work. Well specified and exceptionally ridy, this is one of the nicest Classics we’ve seen in a while. For extra transparency, there is a lengthy, advisory-free MOT to July 2026.
