The Appeal
The S-Type cleverly updated the looks of the Mk2 with the ethos of the more nimble ‘60s S-Type. Today, these are distinctive and stylish cars with that unique ‘Jaguarness’ that sets them apart from their German rivals.
If the rip-snorting ‘R’ is not your thing then arguably this car is the one that makes most sense as distinctive daily. It has the powerful yet economical 3L V6 engine that delivers 60mph in a sprightly 6.9secs.
This car is a bit of a find. It has had just two keepers in its life, the current one since 2004. The mileage is a paltry 50,183 miles and is supported by a full stamped service book up to July 2024 and 48,698 miles. Jaguar main dealers or specialists have carried out all work.
The car comes to market with a current MOT to July. There are a few points to note on the test, but any work required looks straightforward.
