The Appeal
The X100 was Jaguar’s firm reboot. Blending the aesthetics and sporting intent of the E-Type with the more GT-orientated comfort and luxury of the XJS, it was a masterstroke.
Aficionados seek out the later cars like this one because they got the 4.2L version of the venerated AJV8 engine and the stronger 6spd auto box that is better suited to the supercharged XKR’s prodigious performance.
Finished in Platinum Silver metallic with a Warm Charcoal Recaro and Elm Wood interior, this very tidy 400bhp XKR has clearly been looked after. There is a remarkable run of 18 service stamps - to late 2023 and less than 1,500 miles ago - and the reassurance of a long, advisory-free MOT.
The later X100 XKR is one of the finest Jaguar sports cars ever built and of a type that the firm seems unlikely to repeat. No wonder good cars like this one are being snapped up.
