The Appeal
This very smart Morgan combines timeless vintage styling with modern performance. Introduced in 2004 to replace the Plus 8, it is essentially identical to its predecessor but with Ford running gear.
The 223 BHP Ford 3.0-litre V6 is lighter and more powerful than the previous Rover V8, resulting in more spirited performance and significantly improved fuel economy - over 38 mpg on a run. It features a galvanised steel chassis with a lightweight aluminium body and has a unique silhouette that turns head wherever it goes. Weighing just 970 KG it delivers sharp handling and exhilarating performance coupled with with a raw driving experience rarely found in modern cars.
This car is particularly attractively finished in Jaguar Gunmetal grey over Porsche Meridian Silver with a Muirhead red leather interior, piped in Burgundy. The dashboard is walnut and it has a Motolita steering wheel. It was specifically chosen by its first keeper, a certain Richard ‘Hamster’ Hammond.
The car has been cherished by its subsequent handful of keepers, covering less than 29,000 documented miles and amassing a history file showing over £14,000 of work. Regularly and recently serviced, it comes to the market in great condition with a lengthy, advisory-free MOT to March 2026.

The vendor tells us:
“This year I had it MOT’d by the same person at the same garage as 2024 but I noticed that the mileage had gone backwards by 1,000. I have spoken to the garage and the tester and he was very apologetic for the mistake, but unfortunately, the previous MOT cannot be amended now.
“Trust this explains the situation, and for the sake of clarity, please see the MOTs below. The mileage recorded this year is correct, and the car has only been driven a couple of miles since.”
