A 1935 Hillman Minx Saloon, Reg No. JN 5414 Chassis No. 42946 Engine No. 43176
This Black/ Cream saloon is in good working order, the 1185cc side-valve engine runs very sweetly, the 4-speed gearbox has synchromesh on the top 3 ratios which makes for easy driving. Steering is light and accurate and the brakes are effective. Wire spoked wheels are fitted. The interior is trimmed in cream which provides a bright and light passenger environment.
There is some photographic evidence on file that the car underwent a major restoration and was used thereafter for wedding duties. Included in the accompanying file are some details of previous owners and MOT’s and copy of the Hillman Minx Book of Spares. Some refurbishment to the chrome work would benefit the cars exterior appearance.
