Description
Porsche Centre Bournemouth are proud to present this incredibly rare 924 turbo (UK model). Which has a unique story having undergone a full bare metal, nut and bolt complete restoration. This was carried out to official Porsche standards as part of our Porsche main dealer classics department project with an unlimited budget. This project was carefully curated in its very own book.
This time warp must be the best example and is of Stuttgart museum quality. We have had some fun with the car recreating the 924 original advert with the car.
The Turbo version of the 924, bridged the performance gap between the 924 and the 911 SC. The body of the 924 Turbo was based on the 924. In the front section, it differed from the standard model through various air openings:
- Vertical air slots in the front apron to supply air to the brakes and the oil cooler.
- Four air openings between the headlights, as well as a NACA air opening on the right in the bonnet for aeration and ventilation of the engine compartment.
-The 924 Turbo also featured a black rear spoiler on the rear lid.
-The aluminum wheels with spoke design were secured with five wheel nuts (like the standard 924 model) instead of four.
The Turbo models received great reviews and motorsport success in period. In addition to being one of the most sought-after from the 924 lineups, these Turbo variants are incredibly rare in the UK, with perhaps less than 80 on the roads today.
