1960 Morris Mini Minor Deluxe In factory clipper blue with matching blue / grey fleck interior trim. This mini is very special and has a wonderful storey to tell. It was bought new in 1960 from Wadhams of Portsmouth and owned for 4 years. Wadhams then sold it to its new owner in 1964 costing £225. 00 and I have the bill of the sale. It was then owned from 1964 – 2015 by the same owner who enjoyed the car for 51 years! By 1985 it had covered 21000 miles and was taken off the road due to corrosion and was fully restored taking a total of 1800 hours over 8 years. During the restoration it had an engine rebuild included an unleaded cylinder head and a new correct gearbox. It was back on the road in the early 1990’s and is now showing a total of 29165 miles from new. I have the most remarkable history file which details the cars life from new including the restoration work and a magazine feature written about the car and the owner who had the car for over 50 years. I also have a Heritage Certificate, past tax discs and lots of interesting history. It still has its original key which operates the ignition, doors and boot plus the spare key. It drives very well and accelerates strongly up the gears and is of the best early 850 cc minis I have ever driven. This wonderful mini feels very special to be in and would make a very enjoyable mini to own while also making a good long term investment. The condition, mileage and history makes this one of the most appealing early minis available. Next year is the 60th anniversary of the mini when this car will be 59 years old.
