Here we have a wonderfully original ex “american black plate” 1964 Ford Falcon. The American black license plate was last issued in 1967 – meaning that the car prior to being imported and registered in the UK remained in the same ownership since 1967 at least.
This is an original untouched 6 cylinder car with a 3 on the tree manual gearbox. It is nice to see an example of a 60’s american classic that has remained original and without being subjected to a V8 conversion.
The body is nice and straight with only the passenger rear quarter requiring a dent repair. The rear of the vehicle is in lovely condition having not been touched since being imported into the UK in October 2017 – To do the car full justice we would recommend it to be resprayed (we have priced the vehicle to reflect this) however it can be regarded as fully usable as it is.. The body is remarkably rust free and mechanically it is very well sorted too having been inspected, serviced and maintained correctly since its arrival in the UK. The engine develops ample “torquey” power through its smooth changing 3 speed manual column change.
The interior is in remarkable condition while retaining all of its original trim. The dash remains body colour while the front and rear bench seats are free of any rips or tears along with the headlining.
With a simple respray this car would be perfect for all!
This vehicle poses as the perfect base car to either be used as it is for the “tinkering” factor or to be used as a winter project for next years show season.
This vehicle is also supplied with its original steel wheels with good tyres
