Motodrome are pleased to offer this utterly charming, heavily patinated, late 1951 (1952 model) Land Rover Series 1 80in 2. 0
An original UK car, this one is fitted with the 2000cc engine, the rare aluminium bulkhead, 750x16 tyres (also has a set of the original sized 600x16 wheels and tyres), overdrive, and a lockable box in the load area.
While most of the photos show it stripped for the summer weather, of course we have the doortops, hood frame, and a full hood. We also have an Undercover Covers bikini hood – photos show it both ‘fully dressed’, with the bikini top fitted, and with everything removed.
Odometer reading 5000 miles (which is clearly incorrect and hence should be disregarded), and the V5 shows just 4 previous owners, with the last owner having had it since 2010 – whilst it’s fully UK registered, it’s spent the last few years at his house in France.
We’re advised it’s recently had a new carb, 123nl Electronic ignition, new springs and shocks, refurbished wiper motor, new rear propshaft and dynamo, and all new steering ball joints, and I can confirm it rides and drives remarkably well, with an uncommonly quiet overdrive.
