As stated when we sold this car in 2012 and again in 2014, what we have here is a truly excellent example
Previously owned by a good chum, who had lavished enormous amounts of time, energy and limitless sums of his hard earned "dosh" on making this car supreme
He spent well over £30. 000 painting, polishing, detailing and fitting a smashing stereo, a stainless steel exhaust and simply maintaining her to super top standards
He was the fourth owner and took her over in 2009 at around 50. 000 miles and when we sold her in 2012 she was at 68. 000
Our next keeper was a business man from China working here in the City
Using the car for trips out to the country and only another 5. 000 miles had been covered and during his ownership all maintenance has been carried out by us here in the Mews - hence she is still in absolutely fantastic mechanical and cosmetic condition
Only that he had been transferred back to China did he relinquish ownership
We then found her new owner in the shape of an Internationally acclaimed photographer
He took her down to his Manor House in Dorset where she lived in the motor house with a Defender (previously sold by us)
Used for the occasional local journey and more normally for trips back up to London she has amassed another 14. 000 miles now, and again all service works have been undertaken in our works shops
A change of circumstances brings him back to London full time now and hence his Chelsea Mews house only has space only for his 500SL (again supplied by us)
Therefore another lucky owner can grace the V5C and use this excellent Range Rover Classic
Very handily the first owner opted for an electric sunroof and factory air conditioning which makes this a comfortable cockpit in which to sit, in any weather and our Photographer friend (who is very fastidious in her upkeep) asked us to fit a MotoLita steering wheel - a nice touch and looks well on the fascia
She runs like a train and spins along at 90mph with such ease - unlike many others - and together with the extensive history file there are many photos of the restoration works carried out, both before and after
A tip top example, possibly as good as you'll find anywhere
