The Porsche 968 was sold from 1992 to 1995 and marketed as the replacement for the Porsche 944. The new model was powered by an updated version of the 944's Straight 4 Twin Overhead Camshaft Engine, now displacing 2990cc and producing 236bhp. Changes to the 968's powertrain also included the variable valve timing system, a new dual resonant induction, a new exhaust system with a rare catalytic converter, a dual-mass flywheel and updated engine management electronics. The 968's engine was also the second-largest and most powerful naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder engine ever sold in a production car at the time.
First registered in Recklinghausen, Germany on 24th May 1994 - Chassis No: 96NS830400 & Engine No: M4443-42N was imported to the UK in 1998 and professionally converted to RHD by a Porsche dealer in Yorkshire.
It is finished in the lovely Midnight Blue Metallic with Dark Blue Leather trim and Blue carpets, 3 Spoke Sports Leather Steering Wheel, 2990cc 4 cylinder Engine, 6 Speed Manual Gearbox, electric sports seats, electric roof, windows and mirrors, Air Conditioning, outside temperature gauge, Power Steering, ABS Brakes, DAB Stereo/ Radio CD Player, Remote Central Locking/ Toad Cat 1 Alarm System, 2 sets of keys and genuine original 17" Cup Alloy Wheels with fairly recent Bridgestone tyres.
This car is in beautiful condition throughout and it has a full and comprehensive service history file including all handbooks, masses of invoices and every MOT certificate. It has been maintained meticulously and had works carried out by many independent Porsche specialists over the years and most notably a top end Engine rebuild with new Cam Shafts and associated works by Autofarm back in 2002 at 68, 000 miles.
Since then it has been regularly serviced and had a new Clutch fitted by ePorsche @ 115, 822 miles plus a reconditioned Alternator and a reconditioned Power steering pump. It has now covered 116, 100 miles from new and drives beautifully.
This is a very rare car having a 6 Speed Manual Gearbox and will certainly become collectible in years to come. it is in exceptional condition throughout and must be seen and driven to be fully appreciated.
