The Appeal
For some enthusiastic drivers, enough is never quite enough. For them, Porsche created the simply named ‘X50’ option. Tick that box and your new 996 Turbo immediately jumped from 415 bhp to 444 bhp thanks to a larger turbo and intercooler and a remapped ECU. These cars are identifiable by their quad exit exhausts.
Not that there would be any mistaking this X50, thanks to its distinctive optional factory Aerokit. Finished in subtle Seal Grey, it is a very low-mileage and low-keeper car that has clearly been cherished. We’re told that the car comes with a full service history and a recent machine polish and ceramic coat treatment.
The vendor acquired the car in 2021 from a neighbour, who we’re told had owned it for 11 years. He has continued the careful theme of previous keepers, telling us that it has always been dry-stored, never used as a daily, and not driven on salt roads.
With that tempting specification and a lengthy MOT to October 2026, this is a great example of an aspiring future classic to add to your collection.
The vendor says:
“This is simply a phenomenal car to drive! It rides superbly well and would be an ideal GT car that is ready to be driven across Europe without issue. Incredible feedback from the car and road. The Boxer engine paired with the Milltek exhaust gives it the iconic 911 Turbo roar, which is pleasant at cruising speeds. It has been owned and cherished, and that shows in the mileage and condition, with no expense spared for any servicing (any consumables such as brakes, tyres, battery, oils, etc. have been changed at the nearest hint of needing it).
“This turns heads everywhere and still looks like a million bucks driving down the road. I will be very sad to see it go, but space demands it now, and I know whoever buys this will be astounded at the level to which it has been looked after and maintained.”
