The Jeep Cherokee 60th anniversary was only made in small numbers in the last year of XJ production back in 2001. Only 5157 of these classic Cherokee XJ’s built. (2379 Black and 2778 Silver). Giving around 37mpg (UK) on a run and a 30mpg average. The 2001 Jeep Cherokee 2. 5 TD Turbo Diesel 60th Anniversary, 4×4, 5 Door Station Wagon, with a 5 Speed Manual gearbox, 221 feet pounds of Torque at 2000rpm. The 16 inch 5 Spoke 7J Alloy wheels are smart. Full Leather, Electric Heated Seats, Leather Steering Wheel. The 2. 5 litre VM Diesel engine runs great, pulls well. It will cruise happily at 70-80mph, Slow it down to 55/ 60mph and you’ll see over 40 UK mpg, Normal day to day driving you’ll see 27-35 UK mpg. Then it will drive great off road as well.
The Cylinder Heads were replaced with the new improved design and gaskets at 70K this is a known problem with the VM engine this was done prior to my ownership at VM specialist in Chesterfield Derbyshire.
Last Check with DVLA Less than 180 60th anniversary Jeeps 2. 5TD on the road so making it a pretty rare vehicle this model will only increase in value.
Ownership
I have owned this Jeep for over 4 years since October 2018 and has never let me down once, items that have been required have been completed and original parts where possible always used, Advisory Items always addressed on MOT.
It is in its original paintwork and was protected at new by Marshalls Dealership, wax-oiled and protected has clearly made this vehicle a survivor.
Prior to my ownership the previous owner had cared for it extremely well.
Paint correction to Bumpers and Wheel arches were painted 2 years ago.
No welding ever been required as protected from new with waxoil this is a increably well maintained Jeep.

2) Paintwork is an 8 out 10 for a 21-year old vehicle its immaculate no rust is present and no welding has ever been carried out, vehicle has been protected from new and regular wash and waxing etc it was paint guarded sealant at new delivery and then again at Marshalls at Cambridge.
3) Interior in Leather Trim is all in good condition recent repair to the drivers seat lumbar has been refurbished, the headliner is in excellent condition and the carpet complimented with the Factory Floor Matts. All Door cards center console and dashboard plastics are in excellent condition with no damage or cracks. The Original Radio and Factory CD player is all working along with the Iconic electric aerial.
4) Documentation all factory documentation with all hand books and service history is all present.
5) Options installed Factory Tow Bar and Electrics, CD Player, Mud flaps, Locking wheel nuts.
Summary
A fantastic 2. 5TD Last edition Jeep with limited numbers which has been well cared for and no expense spared to maintain to this standard. Jeep XJ are constantly rising in value and given the Last edition Model it will hold and increase value.

This is a original Jeep well cared for and loved and i would be difficult to find a simular model for the price and condition.
Yes there may be XJs around in the 2-3K mark but go and look at them and you will see why. This Jeep represents quality and condition there is XJs commanding upwards of 12K for the 4. 0L model these well kept 2. 5TD will follow the trend upwards for the good ones avaialble.
