Description
1974 Triumph Stag in authentic carmine red, black upholstery and beige carpet, and powered by a Triumph 3 litre V8 engine coupled to a manual gearbox with overdrive on 3rd and 4th. It also has an immobilisor.
I have owned this lovely car for nearly 13 years. It has been looked after, garaged and well maintained. There is a file of work done prior to my ownership, and during my ownership the interior has been refurbished, bumpers re-chromed, five new alloy wheels and four new tyres fitted and a full respray. Mechanically, it has had new drive shafts, new steering column bushes and bearings, new radiator, new clutch and brake master cylinders along with other minor repairs.
The soft top is in very good condition, as are the tyres, alloy wheels and chrome work. The car has a Mountney wooden steering wheel fitted, but the original Triumph one will be included in the sale.
The intermittent wiper function doesn’t work, but the two speed function does. There is some bubbling on the bottom of the driver's door and a chip in front of the windscreen (see photos). There is also some very minor damage to the rear bumper (see photo).
The car can viewed in Northwold near Thetford , Norfolk. Please contact me to arrange. I am also happy to discuss the car on the phone. With power steering, overdrive and a V8 engine which develops 145bhp, this is a lovely, comfortable, car to drive. It is very reliable, having never overheated or let me down. It is ready to go for hours of enjoyable summer driving with the top down.
