Alloy wheels have just been professionally refurbished and the tyres have lots of tread including the spare.
Recent oil and air filter change. I also replaced the heater matrix last year which is a common problem with these at this soft of age. It’s a major task so it’s good to have some piece of mind that this is complete.
Since the introduction of E10 fuel it has only been run on Premium petrol.
1 Fully functioning key and a spare that works the locks bit doesn’t have an immobiliser chip fitted (I got this cut incase I locked the main key in the boot)
In April 2019 it had done about 78, 500 miles and had an extensive recommissioning after being stored for some years. At this point it had a cam belt change with water pump. It also had a new clutch, brake parts and slave cylinder replacement and a new radiator amongst other things.
The car has only covered about 6000 miles since the belt change. With the work being done back in 2019 it would put it at 4 years ago. It might be worth factoring a belt change although technically not needed yet as the interval is 60000 miles and 5 years.
Mechanically the car is in great condition, it didn’t need anything for the MOT and the advisories are minor. It hasn’t ever been welded or had any advisories for corrosion (except the original exhaust which is still fitted)
The steering and suspension feel tight and responsive with no feeling of instability.
The Busso engine sounds great and will bring a smile.

The Alfa is in a great condition inside and the drivers seat has minimal wear and looks good. The interior is the more desirable Lusso specification with MOMO seats. It is 20 years old so it does have a few things that could be improved but overall it’s really solid feeling, performs as it should and feels great when driven.

Before my ownership the Alfa was in Richmond so it has picked up some little dents and marks which are commensurate with its age and don’t overly detract from the car.
Unfortunately much of the cars history was lost by the previous owner. This is disappointment but the documents for any work done decommissioning it are present. The original Alfa Romeo owner’s wallet, which contains various original documents including the Owner’s Manual, Integrated Control System guide, Aftercare booklet, Built-In Security guide are present.
The central locking works from the key but not remotely.
The ICS is working as it should.
The exhaust is corroded and would benefit from replacement at some stage.
The air conditioning would benefit from being serviced.
Vehicle check is clear never stolen, written off etc.

Euro 2 compliant so no charges in the clear air zones of Bath Bradford Manchester, Portsmouth, Sheffield and NewcastleI think the mix of the 3. 0 V6 and it being a Manual with low milage should mean this is something that will appreciate with time and give many years of enjoyment in the process!
