This 928 was manufactured for the Japanese market in 1991 where it stayed for 24 years in a salt free environment before being imported to the UK in 2015.
Since then, it has had two owners who have maintained and upgraded the car with no expense spared. The car is finished in Amazon Green (metallic blue to my eyes) with a can-can red leather interior and extras including black leather on the dashboard and headlining, graduated windscreen tinting and external rubbing strips.
During my ownership the upgrades continued with the addition of an American 928 sports exhaust comprising a stainless-steel X tube and ceramic catalysts, plus an Italian Supersport cat back system providing a deep but subtle rumble from the V8. The combination delivers around 350hp, more than the iconic GT. A state-of-the-art audio system was fitted by Oxford car audio, and a new set of Pirelli P zero N rated tyres fitted.
The car has been extremely well maintained by 928 Specialists in Stroud with two cambelt changes, new shock absorbers all around, new front discs and pads, reconditioned air con compressor, electric window motors, a full PSD rebuild and a myriad of corroded rubber hoses and bushes replaced.
The car has covered just 87, 700km (54, 000 miles) in the last 32 years. It comes with a full MOT and two door keys, a large history file, and a Porsche certificate of authenticity. An all-round car for long distance motorway journeys where the supportive electrically adjustable seats cosset with the quite cabin free from tyre roar and wind noise munches the miles, the epitome of a GT which allows you to reach your destination ache free.
