Hi and welcome to my advert for my vw golf mk4 Limited edition 25th anniversary. This car is the even more rare pd150 tdi version which is even more sought after than the petrol versions. The number for this car is 1168. I've had this motor for around 6 years now and it took me a very long time to find one as mint as this. The only reason for sale is because I have found a job close to home now which is 2. 8 miles away so it's not worth me having a diesel anymore, it doesn't get a chance to even get warm by the time I got to work so I've decided to buy a petrol honda civic as a replacement.
This car has never let me down apart from needing an alternator around 2 years ago. It's always started first time and has had thousands spent on it with receipts as proof. Any items that are consumables and have to be changed due to wear and tear have always been replaced with the best or upgradable parts. For example, the stock suspension had a few rusts marks and 1 corner was leaking so the full set was replaced with a set of raceland coilovers which are fully adjustable. The keys are in the boot if you would like to change the ride height. The stock turbo was replaced for £600 around 2 to 3 years ago with a receipt to prove, it now has a Garrett GT1856 turbo with full hard piping from darkside developments to match. It has a Audi S3 intercooler that cost over £500 with the receipt to prove also and a 272° veicomer camshaft from darkside developments. These items were all upgraded due to stock components and parts leaking boost and are a common fault on these cars. This car now produces a healthy 240bhp and will seriously put a lot of new cars to shame. It has a full miltek exhaust front to back with a silent and discreet backbox so it does what it needs to regarding allowing the car to breathe but doesnt make those silly sounds some performance diesels make. It has poly bushes on the front anti roll bar and steering rack and all other bushes and drop links are fairly new only a few years old. Tyres it's had brand new Bridgestones on the front and veredsteins on the rear which again cost a fair bit.
Cars had an uprated clutch fast road setup from pd parts capable of some serious power so clutch is nice and pulls very strong without being heavy in the foot like some performance clutches. A brand new sachs dual mass flywheel was changed along with slave cylinder at the same time. Changed approx 4k miles ago.
The exterior is in pretty good condition considering it's age, you may find 1 or 2 marks and a few rust spots but nothing major compared to some cars of the same era. The interior is in excellent condition with no rips or tears in the recaro seats front or rear. The plastics could do with a clean up but again nothing major.
Cars been fitted with xenons which give the car a younger look but overall has been kept as original as possible.
Car has always been ran on shell v power diesel in my ownership and always had proper quantum vw oil and filters.
Car has so much service history the book is completely full and it's had to go on extra pieces of paper. Comes with 2 keys also.
Good points, overall an excellent reliable car that will easily return 50 60mpg as well as producing a lot of power when needed.
Bad points and things to consider, few marks around the body and few rust spots nothing major. Has a quick rack from a r32 golf which works fine, just when cornering at high speeds the traction control will cut in so will need reprogramming to the car. A small job that I never got round to finishing. If I ever felt in the mood for a little spirited driving, turn the traction control off and problem solved. Handbrake needs adjusting - brand new handbrake cables have been installed just need adjusting slightly nothing major.
This car turns heads anywhere it goes and considering the age of this car just speaks buckets about how special this car is.
