For sale: My 1965 long nose 2 stroke. I bought the car from a collector who imported the car from north Sweden in 2019.
It is very original in terms of paintwork and interior. It's a lovely colour Olive Green.
It's a bit special mechanically, it has had a heap of work on rebuilding and tuning by the previous Swedish owner.
Fully rebuilt engine, new rings, rebuilt crank, lightened pistons, lightened flywheel, electronic ignition. The exhaust is a XP racing one 2", it also has an expansion chamber fitted. The suspension was refurbished with new shock absorbers and XP bushes on the front suspension. Brakes were overhauled too.
The car is in very good original condition, there are some minor blemishes on the paint. The structure is solid and there is evidence of some welding on top of the front turrets. The car polishes up lovely and draws admiring attention.
It's quite rapid and make's a wonderful sound. I can add that the car comes with a genuine Saab wooden steering wheel, which came from the US. It was originally from a GT850. I can tell you these steering wheels are like hen's teeth and command prices around €1000, I know! These were the prices I was quoted. I do have the original steering wheel and of course the additional spot light.
The car is ready to be enjoyed and is now British registered with a 1965 UK registration number. I have the black and silver plates, I just haven't fitted them just yet.
I'm seeking offers around the £9, 000 mark. It's a lovely car and would possibly benefit from cosmetic improvement, hence my asking price.
