JXG 300 left the factory in 1959 as a FHC, but was rebodied as a DHC after an accident in the 60s. At this point a crate S engine from Jaguar was fitted. So it is not a matching numbers car. It has a Getrag 5 speed gearbox which was rebuilt 4 years ago. The car presents well, with good paint, the interior is patinated, but in reasonable condition - a new owner might want to refresh the interior. The car has participated in several European rallies and performed well. It failed to finish one event when a clutch slave cylinder failed, this was replaced post the event. The current owner has replaced all suspension bushes and shocks. Upgraded the brakes to Coopercraft and rebuilt the Getrag 5 speed gearbox. The car starts and runs well with good oil pressure and steady temperature.
