WinSpeed of Guildford is delighted to be offering for sale this 1960 Jaguar XK 150 `S` 3. 8 Drophead Coupe – one of the rarest offerings from Jaguar Cars of which only 69 were produced in UK Right Hand Drive form.
Purchased by the fastidious owner from JD Classics in 2003, WinSpeed has been maintaining this car for him since 2010. During this period the car has covered numerous extensive journeys throughout Europe, as well as on organised tours with The XK Club in both New Zealand and Australia. The car has never missed a beat and is still…. immaculate!
Powered by its iconic 3. 8 Litre 6-cylinder XK twin-cam engine, but breathing through Triple SU carburettors which identify the `S` model, the car has benefited from the addition of a 5-Speed gearbox. Additionally, the car has Power Assisted Steering, up-rated front calipers, electronic ignition, a 6-branch sports exhaust system and is also running on 15” chrome wire wheels.
Presented in Sherwood Green with Suede Green interior trim and Black hooding the car possesses great presence and charm and is hard to fault.
