1961 Karmann Ghia. Very sad to part with it but a young family means I'm not going to be using the car as much as I'd like, it's time for someone else to enjoy it. Imported from the US in 1998, with four former keepers, I've owned the car since 2008. In my ownership it's undergone a full body off bare metal restoration. Given a Californian car the rot wasn't too bad, but where required has had new panels/ metal fabricated. New everything as required down to the wiring loom, has probably done about 300miles since, a couple of trips two and from Goodwood revival is about it. The engine has been rebuilt - 1500sp. It's had a new refurbished gearbox from California classics in 2019. Front brakes have been upgraded - CSP disk conversion and thus is now dual circuit, seatbelts fitted in the front. Welcome people to come and see the car for themselves, it's been sat for a while in a dry garage for about a year so could do with a service, just running a little lumpy but nothing sinister.
