For sale we have our 1976 VW T2 Bay Window Panel Van, perfect for someone to tackle over the winter months.
It has been undergoing a ground up restoration with works totalling over £40k carried out by aircooled Volkswagen specialists ‘Beetlelink’ we have an extensive list of bodywork repairs, gearbox restoration and additional sundries.
The body has undergone a complete restoration with all rust removed, damages panels replaced and sanded ready for paint. The body and chassis has been fully restored making this near 50 year old vehicle ideal for any VW enthusiast.
The certificates provided by Volkswagen indicate that the engine is a AS / 4-Cylinder 1. 6 Litre / 37 kW (50hp), however it is worth noting this has been removed from the vehicle for the purpose of body restoration and we have been advised that it will require refurbishment.
The gearbox, a 4-Speed manual transmission, has been reconditioned and re-fitted the vehicle.
Within the extensive list of other replacement parts are items relating to the suspension, braking system, fuel system, gear selector and headlights. All receipts are available for interested persons to view along with official Volkswagen certification.
In summary, this vehicle would make a beautiful show vehicle, delivery van or daily driver with some TLC. It’s worth noting that many of these vans have been converted into campers making the delivery van variant more of an eye-catching alternative.
