FOR SALE '73 LHD Camper Van
Meet "Marion", she's a 1973 LHD cute little campervan who was imported from America a few years ago. She's actually an original "Sportsmobile Penthouse" conversion, as far as the roof and super '70's cool front roof rack are concerned. This was the first camper conversion to have a full size solid bed in the roof and aided by their own dual u-tube, spring loaded, raise/ lower from one position, patented elevating roof system, making it easy to raise & lower the top manually. Sportsmobile even offered a powered version later. Lots of love and pampering has been adorned on this bus. Finished in this eye catching Violet Purple & white paintwork, she certainly oozes fun. The custom bellows in the roof also match in colour and have lots of little camper vans printed all around. The theme has been continued throughout the interior, with professionally upholstered cab high back seats & the rear full width , rock'n'roll bed, in purple with white piping. The retro co-ordinating vinyl floor tiles have been added. 3 rear seat belts have been fitted , for safety, as has a fire suppression system been fitted in the engine bay. Marion has an electric hook up , with twin sockets and USB. She also benefits from an internal diesel heater to keep you cozy. as you can see a lovely storage cupboard has been added with matching table, which can be used inside or out. More storage with the overhead cupboard & of course storage under the seat. There's even a buddy box, between the cab seats , with storage and twin cupholders, so really well designed and everything co-ordinates so well. New Bluetooth cd/ sd stereo with remote and 2 new rear speakers. Curtain tracks and curtains alongside bugsy eyes (front windscreen) and blackout for rear window. Auto electrician has tidied and tightened all wiring and connections along with fitting front and rear fog lights. Replaced front wheel bearings, discs and pads. New driver, passenger and sliding door handles. Good service history. Comes equipped with side canopy & Large Retro awning with 2 compartments with skirt and carpet. Luxury breathable van cover. 1. 6L air cooled engine. Reconditioned July 2018, with only around 6, 000 miles since. Current mileage 62, 120. Last MOT 2017 mileage 56, 070 before engine reconditioned.
